Takeshi Miyahara became a full-time freelance translator in 2019 after working at Sony EMCS, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and Hiroshima University of Economics, where he gained expertise in a broad range of business fields as an in-house translator-interpreter/international student advisor. Collaborating with his peer translators whom he got to know in his former jobs and some translator networking events, he offers translation services of English/German and Japanese language pairs to over 50 agencies and direct clients in a variety of fields: manufacturing/quality control, business contracts, management & financing, IT marketing, tourism (culture, museums, hotels) etc. He also does escort interpreting.

He received his B.A. degree in Economics from Hiroshima University of Economics (HUE), Japan, and a certificate in International Management from Pforzheim University, Germany. He was assigned as Hiroshima Messenger in 2013 and 2014, and volunteered in supporting Hiroshima City for their long-lasting international cooperation with Hannover city, Germany. He also manages general affairs and finances of a facility maintenance company that his brother runs. He is a member of Japan Translation Federation, Japan Association of Translators and DVÜD e.V..
